Rio de Janeiro – Retail sales in July matched those of June in Brazil as per seasonally adjusted figures. The result comes after sales had gone up for three straight months, to a combined 2.2% hike. The data are from the Monthly Survey of Trade issued this Tuesday (12) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

The survey also shows that sales went up by 3.1% year-on-year in July, and by 0.3% from January through July.
