13/11/2017 at 20:33h

São Paulo – The Brazilian shopping malls association (Associação Brasileira dos Shopping Centers - Abrasce) expects a 7% hike in sales during holiday season this year from the last one, as per a poll of its members across the country. The industry is hopeful with the forecast, since 2016 saw Christmas sales go up a meager 0.3% from 2015, i.e. sales remained stagnant.

According to the poll, sales will be driven by clothing, customer electronics and footwear. Retailers expect a 5% increase in temporary worker admissions.
