A rare animal that lives on the Peruvian side of the Amazon has become an easy target for hunters. Breeding in captivity, in the São Carlos zoo, may be the only hope for survival of the species.
Rio de Janeiro and five Arab cities are going to participate in a global event, called the Earth Hour, for the environment. They are going to turn their lights out for one hour on March 28th.
Representatives of both regions meet in Recife, starting today, to discuss desertification, the semiarid and water resources. The meeting is preparatory for a ministerial meeting on the matter.
