Arab Chamber launches new website

The new homepage presents a modern layout that is now optimized for all platforms: desktop, smartphone and tablets. In 2017, the Arabic version will go online.

São Paulo – This Monday (15) the new homepage of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce went online. With a modern, clean and responsive layout, optimized for all platforms, the new website is a tool for companies and people interested in knowing more and doing business with Arab countries.

ArabBrazilian Chamber TV and ANBA: greater emphasis

According to Marina Sarruf, communications analyst and responsible for the development of the Arab Chamber’s new website, the main goal was to build a more user-friendly website, with easy access to information. “It’s more complete, modern. Before, we had a more static website and now it’s more intuitive”, said Sarruf. “We began to work on this project early in the year and we wanted, mainly, to clean up the site and follow the new digital trend: less text, more image and interactive content”.

The website is responsive, that is, optimized to all platforms: desktop, smartphone or tablet. Non-responsive websites are not easily viewed in small screens such as smartphones, for instance. The homepage presents the actions developed by the Arab Chamber in a much clearer way.

For instance, the homepage brings information on the 22 Arab countries and frequently asked questions by those that want to export to the Middle East and North Africa countries. Also available are the contact information of Arab diplomatic offices in Brazil and of Brazilian offices in the Arab countries. In the new version, this information is now more user-friendly.

The Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA) also is featured more prominently. The logo and link for the news agency appear at the top of the page. ANBA’s latest news also comes at the top, appearing as soon as they go online. The last three programs aired by the Arab Brazilian Chamber TV on YouTube also appear on the homepage. By clicking on one of the programs, the user is redirected to the specific YouTube page.

According to the Arab Chamber’s CEO Michel Alaby, the new website brings to users, above all, more information on the Arab world. “It’s a tool for the business owner that operates or wishes to operate with the Arab countries and, also for society, since it enables access to data regarding the Arab world. It’s more dynamic, up-to-date, with versions in Portuguese and English”, he added.

More innovations

A second phase of this new platform will bring tools for the member companies, among them the chance to register for Arab Chamber activities and update their information, plus access all the market research made available by the Arab Chamber. Early in 2017, an Arabic version of the Arab Chamber’s website will go online.
