Oil production breaks record
December 2016 average daily outputs were the highest for oil and natural gas, reported Brazil’s National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
Rio de Janeiro – Oil and gas production in Brazil reached a new record in 2016. Data issued this Thursday (2) by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) show that production averaged at 2.73 million barrels per day (bpd) in December, up from the previous record of 2.67 million bpd in September.
Natural gas output stood at 111.8 million cubic meters per day (cmd) in December, up from November’s previous record of 111.1 million cmd. Na comparação com dezembro de 2015, a produção de petróleo subiu 7,8% e a de gás natural 11,3%.
Oil equivalent production in Brazil (oil plus gas) averaged at 3.43 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in December 2016. Petrobras-operated oilfields accounted for 94.3% of oil and natural gas production.
