Power auction: 31 lots purchased

The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency held an auction that resulted in concessions to construction, operation and maintenance of electricity transmission lines and substations in 20 states.



São Paulo – The auction held by the Brazilian Electricity Agency (Aneel) this Monday (24) at company B3, in the city of São Paulo, resulted in the purchase of 31 lots in 20 Brazilian states. The lots that didn’t receive an offer were lots 12 (Maranhão and Tocantins), 16 (Piauí and Maranhão), 17 (Rio Grande do Sul) and 24 (São Paulo).

The concessions were for the construction, operation and maintenance of 7,400 kilometers of transmission lines and substations with 13,200 megavolt ampere (MVA). The installations go into operation within 36 to 60 months. The sum of the Allowed Annual Revenue (AAR) of the lots reach BRL 2.7 billion (USD 863 million) and the winners receive the sum for offering the service for 30 years.
