KUNA, ANBA chief editors discuss bilateral media cooperation

The Brazilian and Kuwaiti news agencies’ chief editors met Sunday (14) to talk about the bilateral media cooperation agreement that they have in place since 2004.

KUNA Deputy Director General for Editorial Sector and Chief Editor Saad Al-Ali meets visiting Alexandre Rocha, editor-in-chief of ANBA

Kuwait City – Kuwait News Agency's (KUNA) Deputy Director General for Editorial Sector and Chief Editor, Saad Al-Ali held talks Sunday with visiting Alexandre Rocha, Editor-in-Chief of Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA), on media cooperation.

The two senior journalists discussed a host of issues of mutual interest, particularly the news exchange agreement that was signed in 2004 and increasing bilateral media cooperation, Al-Ali said in a statement following the meeting.

He added that he and Rocha discussed coverage of Brazilian activities and events in Kuwait and the Arab Gulf region.

Al-Ali underlined the importance of media in promoting trade and cultural relations between Kuwait and Brazil.

He said KUNA was keen on pushing forward media and cultural cooperation and coordination with Brazil.

The meeting was attended by Essam Al-Ruwayyeh, Director of Public Relations and Marketing Department, and Khaleda Al-Nofal, Acting Director of Information Center.
