Natural gas output breaks record

Production averaged 115 million cubic meters per day in July, exceeding the previous record from December 2016.



Rio de Janeiro – Natural gas output in Brazil hit 115 million cubic meters (m3/d) per day in July, exceeding the prior record of 111.8 million m3/d in December 2016 to reach a new all-time high.

The information was disclosed this Monday (4) by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). Average daily output was up 3.5% month-on-month and 7.3% year-on-year.

At 2.62 million barrels per day, oil output was down 1.9% month-on-month but up 1.5% year-on-year.
