Brazil saw forex surplus in September

US dollar inflow exceeded outflow by USD 2.545 billion in the country last month, according to the Brazilian Central Bank.

Brasília – US dollar inflows to Brazil exceeded outflows by USD 2.545 billion in September, the Brazilian Central Bank reported this Wednesday (4). Year-to-date through September, there was a USD 6.679 billion foreign exchange surplus.

Financial operations (investment in securities, profit and dividend remittances to other countries and foreign direct investment, among other operations) registered a USD 644 million deficit, whereas trade operations (export- and import-related foreign exchange transactions) ran a USD 2.609 billion.
