Vehicle exports up 56%

The Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea) said 627,820 vehicles were exported from the country from January to October, with revenue exceeding the USD 13 billion mark.



São Paulo – Exports of automobiles, light commercial vehicles, trucks and bus chassis were up 56.7% year-on-year from January to October this year, the National Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea) reported this Wednesday (8). Foreign sales reached 627,820 units shipped abroad, the biggest amount ever for the period.

Revenue from exports reached USD 13.119 billion, up 51.6% year-on-year.

Year-to-date through October, 2.237 million vehicles were made in Brazil, up 28.5% from the year-ago period. Domestic sales climbed by 9.3% to 1.823 million units sold.
