Petrobras expects 0.5% investment hike

The Brazilian state-run oil company has released its plans for the next five years, which should see USD 74.5 billion be invested.

Rio de Janeiro – Brazil’s state-owned oil company Petrobras released its investment plans for the next five years this Thursday (21), as part of its 2018-2022 Business and Management Plan approved on Wednesday (20). The company expects to invest USD 74.5 billion.

The amount expected in the coming five years is 0.5% higher than the one from the 2017-2020 Plan – which had been USD 74.1 billion. This is the first investment hike for the company since its restructuring, during which time investment plummeted from USD 237 billion in 2013-2017 to slightly over USD 74 billion in the ongoing five-year span.
