MAPA heads mission to Middle East and Asia

The Ministry of Agriculture’s executive secretary heads the delegation that will attend meetings in the UAE and Asian countries.

São Paulo – A mission headed by Eumar Novacki, executive secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), will visit the Middle East and Asian countries starting this Sunday (4). Business owners and state and federal authorities will discuss topics such as trade promotion, animal and phytosanitary health, investments, infrastructure, imports and exports of products and food security, among others.

According to MAPA, the Brazilian delegation has meetings scheduled in the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. “We need to secure the income of our producers, so they can continue to produce and improve productivity. It’s essential that we can secure market share to the products of those that are at the end of the agricultural chain,” said Novacki in a statement.

The delegation will return to the country on February 16.
