Ronaldinho and Figo to play in UN game

The Brazilian and Portuguese players will be the captains of the two all-star teams that will face each other on April 21 to promote the Sustainable Development Goals.

Geneva – Aiming to promote the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a specific focus on reducing social inequalities, the United Nations and the Champions League (UEFA) will hold, on April 21 a “Match for Solidarity”, with the participation of many world soccer stars.

The game will be played at Stade de Genève, in Switzerland, and will feature Ronaldinho Gaúcho and Portuguese Luís Figo as captains of the two teams. Tickets are already on sale online.

The game’s revenue will go to the UEFA Foundation for Children. Among the players that already confirmed their presence are Cafu, from Brazil, ad Nuno Gomes, from Portugal.
